About Me

NOT HERE FOR DATING!
I like sharing ideas and learning. I have worked with children for over a decade. I really enjoy animals so if you have any that enjoy being adored I’d love to meet them

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve used CS through friends and hosted many travelers visiting NYC. I’m hoping to make new friends during my travels in 2018. See ya soon, Europe!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a good documentary. I’ll be traveling with books for my trip and bringing along a couple extra for swaps along my way. If you are vegetarian or a gardener, I’d love to gift you a book from my collection. I enjoy lots of music but I have no ear for American country music, I grew up far from cornfields.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a couple years living in Honduras volunteering at a tiny rural English-language elementary school teaching pre-K. It’s still the best job I’ve ever had. I’m happy to help others find a similar volunteering position in Latin America, just ask!

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach children and I also taught English for a number of years. I’m an avid gardener as well. I love meeting fellow green thumbs. If you’ve any interest in volunteering and traveling through Latin America, I have many resources to share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can bring you an authentic NYC bagel and/or I <3 NY tee. Of course, beyond the material I’m a fairly good karaoke partner and I love learning so knowledge sharing is a big draw on this trip. If you have pets, I make a great friend to all animals. My corn tortilla making skills are superb.
