About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet cool people from all over the globe!

ABOUT ME

I was once crouched 7 feet from 39 mountain gorillas (thank god they’re herbivores), and the next day was at dinner with an indicted war criminal; I can drink a double espresso and fall straight to sleep and have been known to have a pronounced fondness for Fantasy Island reruns. Life is good, if sometimes bizarre.

My desk is always overflowing, my laugh is loud, and I always have time for a friend who needs to talk. I’ve drank raw river water in the Amazon, driven across Spain to hunt down friends while only knowing part of the name of my destination, and consider myself a scaredy-cat. I revel in the ridiculous, for example, the ionizer-inspired addition to the SF skyline. (I still wonder if the architect was conscious of his/her inspiration….) People usually think I’m an extrovert, but I go crazy if I don’t feed my inner introvert, as well.

I've spent the last several years obsessed with writing, and hope life continues to arrange for me to blithely continue doing the sorts of things found in the previous paragraphs. I'm fascinated by the variety of ways people live and make meaning out of their existence. (We humans are such wacky creatures.)

PHILOSOPHY

I live boldly, warmly, kindly, and joyously.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted. I've been hosted. I've been to some CS events. I sent money. I talk about CS to nifty-cool people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CouchSurfed in Paris and added my host to my list of very-favorite-people-in-the-world. I've hosted as well. All my experiences in this community have been lovely.

Interests

Living every moment to the fullest. Speaking in relevant cliches whenever possible. Learning and trying new things. Seeing new places.
