ABOUT ME

I live with what I have and make a living from what I can give. The rest, I believe, is a question of perception... I'm open minded, curious (I think basically anything can catch my attention, especially if it's spoken about with passion...) and a pretty much unstressed person. I am, I admit, a bit shy... But I love people!

I'm the mommy of Luka, 8, who can be described as smart and beautiful (of course ;o), spontaneous, dynamic, loving... and sometimes challenging...

Sailing and walking are my favorite hobbies. And? Well, it's hard to write about myself...

I want to travel. Right now I can't do it, but the day will come... Oh it'll come...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I hosted
-Bob from the US. Eye opening first experience which helped me, lets say, learn how to read requests, profiles and references.
-Dave, Tim and Alex who came all together from the UK;

Interests

I'm interested in the truth and authenticity of people. I'm fascinated by diversity in this world! I'm in total admiration towards humans; from the way our body works to the complexity of our minds and how we're influenced by our culture and environment even at the very beginning of our lives. I'm very passionate about baby wearing and have particular interest in maternity, paternity, parenting, infant/child care and development, etc. since it is, after all, the root of all adults. Ok, now I should stop :o).

I do have other interests, like sailing! I participate into sail boat races at least once a week and enjoy recreational sailing as often as I can during the summer.

I like to learn and talk about environmental issues and alternatives to our excessive consumption habits.

Cooking. But I'm not very good at it. It's possible that I might be more interested in food than cooking...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The one thing I consider to be the most amazing thing I've done is giving birth. The best part is that once it started, motherhood will never be over! To be responsible for (and part of) one's being on this earth... Is overwhelmingly beautiful.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a bit of sailing fundamentals... I also am a former beautician and know all about pampering your tired and abused traveler's feet :o). Of course, if you need to practice speaking French or English I'll be happy to help!
