Hi! My name is Laura and I am on a vacation from the University of Florida. I am looking to connect with people, learn about the cultures, and give back to the local communities.

I am an open minded friendly girl who loves learning. Some of my favorite things to do include: hiking, cooking, doing yoga and meditating. I have always also been interested in languages and right now I am practicing French via Duolingo, but I'm hoping to improve it while in France :-)

I am hoping to give as much as I can and be able to learn from all the wonderful people on my Journey.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I tried it last year in Canada, and had a great experience. Hoping to learn more cultural norms, first hand, from the people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Communication skills - I have been working at the front desk of the main library in my university for the past two years and have experience dealing with various people and many ethnicities.
Time-Management - I carry around an agenda and schedule daily tasks, to make sure my goals are realistic :)
Timeliness - always try to be a few minutes early to appointments or meetings that I may have.
Teamwork - I prefer working in groups and learning from others whenever possible.
Leadership - I was the president of the Sociology club at my University
