About Me

I'll just start and you can learn more over coffee/ beer/ dinner/ a busride or whatever it'll end up being. :)
I'm born and raised in brilliant Berlin. Ever since I've been an exchange student in Sweden (when I was 16), I've wanted to live abroad again. I've worked in a children's home and a school in Estonia, which was another enriching experience, and I've worked with exchange students since I got back from Sweden. I've learned how much more you get out of meeting and getting to know people from the places you go to which is why I think couchsurfing is great.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While I lived in Estonia in a shared flat with 6 other volunteers, we hosted quite a couple of people and went to visit others in the region. Back in Berlin I have occassionally hosted people, which was always great and I've had a lot of fun hosting and showing people what Berlin can be like when you're not just a tourist frequenting the most trodden paths.
The most amazing couchsurfing-experience I had was in Moscow. We tried to find hosts, but it was quite difficult. In the end the 8 of us stayed with 4 other couchsurfers who lived in a two-room-flat in the suburbs. It was amazing for us how they opened their small flat to us because we needed a place to stay. We huddled together in our sleeping-bags on the floor of one room and had a very cuddly time. I loved to see how people can be so open-hearted, welcoming and wonderful towards others.

Interests

I love hanging out with people, chatting over drinks, coffee or food, I love learning new things, I love my guitar, and when I have time, I love reading (crime novels and books that make me smile), I am a passionate listener and problem-solver and I absolutely suck at being alone. ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm not a terrible cook and I think I can actually be considered a nice person. ;)
I'll be happy to teach you a couple of sentences in German and/or Swedish and you'll always be welcome to my current home.
