Vivir con el corazon abierto (figuratively, not literally universe please)

ABOUT ME

I love the ocean, nature and all animals. I enjoy camping, hiking, sunrises and sunsets, being with my close friends and hanging out with my wonderful dogs. When I'm back home you'll most likely find me in my garden either working on it or sitting down admiring the abundance of food a single seed can offer. If I'm not in my garden then I will most likely be on the beach somewhere quiet. Either picking up trash, being a personal float-device for one of my dogs or admiring the colorful and vivid marine wildlife of my home island.

When I leave my home island which has become harder to do in the past years I do enjoy a long distance hike. I've thru hikes Spain twice and I've done the 185km through Australia's bush. All three were wonderful experiences. Each one has taught me lessons about myself, humanity and nature that I carry deep within me. If life/universe allows me I hope to be able to complete more hikes in the future.

PHILOSOPHY

The wording of my philosophy is constantly changing but in the it comes down to the same. I am aware that I cannot change the world by myself and I have been called not-realistic/optimistic more times than I can count but.. I will continue to pick up every piece of trash I can when I'm near the ocean, I will continue to rescue ths stray animals that I can and I will just continue to do the things that I can do for a better world. I am always looking for ways to educate myself on how to live more sustainably and produce minimal trash.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A wonderful way of exchanging stories, traveling in our own country and reminding ourselves that there are many really amazing and good hearted people out there.

I once heard someone say "Surfers are friends I just haven't met yet" and I find this quite fitting to my experience on CS.
