ABOUT ME

I've been described as effervescent and feisty. Really I just think it's easier to like people as they are. I grew up in a very multiethnic, multireligious country which makes for a very interesting culture. I am an artist, a secondary school teacher and a constant learner. My favourite topic is stories. I've always got one to tell and am always ready to listen - folk tales, fairy tales and a lot of people's own lives and history are pretty interesting too, and I try to capture my own small tales in my artwork.

Interests

A lot of my free time is spent arting, reading and people watching. I love camping too as it allows me to stay in the good old outdoors for days on end while travelling gives me new places to explore. Oh yeah, and dragonflies. I love dragonflies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Waking up early one morning before the sun rose and after the moon had set in while camping in Chacachacare. I stuck my toes in the dark water and watched my own body's bioluminescence for the first time.
- Chasing a pair of HUGE blue morpho butterflies into the forest on the same island (my favourite place to camp).
- Every single day I walked the streets of Edinburgh, Scotland.
- Having my very first solo art exhibition and seeing how many people came out to support my work as an 'alternative' genre artist.
