CURRENT MISSION

I wish to travel to learn about the world both environmentally and culturally. I have been working as a seasonal field biologist at Glacier National Park, Haleakala National Park, Arches/Canyonlands, Redwoods and for a private environmental firm in Southern Oregon. I have quite a bit of experience hiking, backpacking and visiting those regions if anyone has questions regarding those areas. I graduated from Concordia University received a Bachelor's in Biology. I did my internship studying the sustainability and efficiency on the big Island of Hawaii. I would like to learn more about sustainable living and ways to live a more simpler life. My interest has been in ecological conservation and has shifted towards the medical field because I am looking for a more reliable long-term career, although this lifestyle has been an adventure!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to Couchsurfing and appreciate the concept and community aspect of helping eachother out. Although I cannot host at this moment in time I would thoroughly appreciate couches to crash on and people to meet while I am travelling through Europe. I can answer many questions about the United States, the Pacific Northwest and areas I have traveled. I would also love to learn about your life and previous travel adventures.

Love to be outside gardening or around wildlife and animals. I am working towards a more simpler way of life. I enjoy meditation and yoga.

I enjoy a wide variety such as Fleet Foxes, Enya and Hotel Costes mix. I like listening to Alan Watts, Planet Earth Documentaries and just finished A New Earth by Eckart Tolle: highly recommend.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Fell off a cliff, chipped kneecaps and was rescued by helicopter two days later in Glacier NP. Eeek. I can share with you what to do or not to do in a search and rescue situation.
