Hey, I'm Laura I'm 18 years old.
I live in brussels and now I'm travelling for one year. I'm actually in India where I did a project with children and now I'm travelling. After I plan to go to New Zeland. My plan for the futur is to study Medecine but it's really hard so I'm not sure. About me personally there's not much to say I'm a common girl of 18 years old. People often give me more than 18 but I don't like it I think it's good to be your own age :) I'm open minded (or at least that's what I think haha) and I like making conversation. I like meeting new people and my favourite thing is to laugh. An Indian guy told me once that he was going to record me because I laugh so much and so loud. That's why I'm joking a lot and always laughing to people's jokes (even to bad humor!). I'm not shy but I'm not the type of person who speaks for two hours non stop.... What are my bad points are you going to ask? Pfiouuu where to begin haha? I'm messy, but only at home. I am very curious and some times too much, I eat a lot, I sleep a lot... But don't worry I try to be the best host as possible and I think one of my best qualities is that I can easely adapt to someones wishes!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm travelling a lot but sadly it's rare to meet local people.. I hope that on couch surfing I will find people to meet and enjoy spending times with them. I hope that thanks to couch surfing I will meet new friends.

Interests

My biggest passion is Movies! Don't worry I'm not the type of girl who's watching movies all day long and eating chips (maybe sometimes. I'm interested in the cinema since I was little and I like to know how the movies are made, filmed. I spend a lot of times to watch the "classics of the cinema" and to research on the internet the anecdotes about them ect... At first I wanted to study Cinema but I changed my min to finally study Medicine. I also like music a lot, It's not only a way to pass time for me but something that gives me a lot of emotion! It might seems a bit creepy but I think that a moment of your life can be happy just thanks to music ! Otherwise I like circus, festivals, I'm interested in Science and literature.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite Music: Too hard... But I'd said that if I had to be on a desert Island with only one CD it would be "Dark side of the moon" because the more I listen the more I like it and it's really a special album. I listen to different kinds of music but I listen mostly electro swing (Parov Stelar, Boogie Belgique, Caravan Palace..) and rap. I'm a big fan of French and Belgian rap (yes, yes it exist!).
My favorite book: One flew over a cuckoo's nest.
My favorite movie: Impossible question! But I will do a little list of great film haha:
V for vendetta, The truman show, American beauty, Das leben der andere, The kite runner, Matrix, Mommy, Guillaume et les garcon a table!, Singin in the rain ect....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most extraordinary thing I've done is leaving my home for one year to do a gap year at 18... I feel really lucky to do that!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer my little knowldege but more importantly I can offer my ear. I'm on couchsurfing to learn about people, to listen to their stories, their adventures and maybe share mines event if there are few of them haha! I can offer my help in any sort of jobs and of course for the housekeeping. I also offer my amity (how cute!).
