Overview
About Me
I was born and raised in Louisiana and have been living in Austin, Texas for about 16 years. I’m currently a paralegal student. I've enjoyed exploring all that Austin has to offer from restaurants, movies, festivals, community events, the outdoors, and classes. I am very much looking forward to meeting people strictly for friendship only.
My profile is not verified, but I have stayed in many homes as a pet sitter and am a very respectful guest.
Travel has been one of the most edifying things I've ever done. It fills my soul and teaches me so much. I have an undergrad in Sociology so exploring every facet of culture is very interesting to me! I have lived in a co-op so sharing space is a familiar experience!
I live in a progressive Texas city and do NOT support Trump.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd like to meet local people and share stories. I love the spirit of couchsurfing and connecting with the travel community!
I haven’t been able to host because I’ve been traveling, lived with 14 roommates in a co-op, and then in a small studio apartment not conducive to hosting. I’m gone a lot pet sitting as well, but I hope to host in the future!

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite musician- St. Vincent and I really love dream pop, shoegaze, rock and trip hop. I also like a lot of alternative indie as well as music from the 60s-90's. I like old school techno and house as well as some current DJ's. UK music is some of my favorite and was such a memorable part of my time there <3.
Movies- Forrest Gump, Moonlight, Thirteen, Richard Linklater films, The Salt Path, American Beauty, Little Miss Sunshine, and Big Fish.
Books - The Glass Castle, She's Come Undone, On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous, anything by Roald Dahl, and I like reading autobiographies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've traveled though the jungle in Ecuador and climbed Mount Snowdon. Hauled camping gear through Wales and England and spent a month camping in the cold.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my background and knowledge that I've gained through working, living, and traveling as well as help out with cooking and dishes. I used to be a teacher so I'm sure I could help with English!
