Goal in life: I just want to make the world a little less sh*tty.

Born and raised in New York (state, not city). Galway, Ireland is my second home- most of my family lives there.

Vegan, for ethical reasons. Feel free to ask me about it. As a surfer, this won't make me difficult, I promise. I am very used to buying and preparing all of my own food. I'd love to share it with my hosts!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe traveling is most rewarding when you connect with people from different countries. Couch surfing seems like the perfect way to facilitate that!

Unfortunately I currently live in student housing so I can't host, but I hope to someday soon when I have my own residence.

Interests

My main interests (which I'm pursuing at school) are history and politics, especially foreign policy. I play harp and sing. I'm passionate about environmental issues- that's the primary reason I'm vegan. Obviously I love to travel :) Art, in all forms. Hiking, apple picking, and rowing are my favorite outdoor activities!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a sucker for classics. Favorite movies include Casablanca, The Princess Bride, and the Lion King. So, not necessarily classics from the same era! :)
I love Shakespeare, Austen, Dumas, Wilde, Tolkien, Neil Gaiman, Frank McCourt, fantasy, autobiographies, history, and politics, among many others.
My music tastes are varied, but still strongly favor my teenage love of angry rock. Complete HamilTrash :D

I climbed a mountain in Haiti to meet the people of a village supported by a non-profit I worked with.

I'm a friendly, curious person. I want to couch surf to meet some like-minded people all around the world!

I'm a clean, respectful guest, used to keeping my belongings tidy and cleaning up after myself.

I love to cook for other people- especially when you've invited me into your home! I'm vegan, so if you've never had vegan food before, be prepared to be very pleasantly surprised!
