My name is Lauren and I am a current college student as well as a full-time worker. At this time in my life, when I choose a travel destination it is primarily geared toward a central focus on furthering my education, work, and family connections; with the addition of indulging in my adoration for the arts.
Those who know me see me as open-minded and down to earth. I always look forward to meeting new people, as well as experiencing new places, environments and cultures!

I am currently in Spain and have traveled here for the wedding of my sister. I took time off from school to spend a longer time in this country to further my practice of Español, learn new cultures, and broaden my sense of self through the experience of others. I have been enamored and humbled since I’ve been here, indeed through the places, but more profoundly by the people I’ve gotten the chance to meet and get to know! I am on Couchsurfing so that I can hopefully get the chance to extend my company out to many others :)

I love a broad spectrum of music so it is difficult to begin where to start! - All in all, anything that moves the soul
Movies I enjoy are usually on the creative and heartfelt side with a dose of humor - very fond of the director Wes Anderson. I always love learning something new and feeling enlightened about current or past events so I also enjoy watching documentaries.
Current and recent authors I’ve read books by are Yaa Gyasi, Jodi Picoult, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Michael A. Singer, Pablo Neruda, Rupi Kaur, Stephen Westaby and Paulo Coelho.
