Hey! My name is Lauren. I am an outgoing adventure seeking gal from the City of Brotherly Love. I am young and energetic, but with a bit of an old soul. I am very easy to get along with and am usually up for just about anything. Between community theater, and work and seeing friends and family, I usually keep pretty busy. I love parades, dressing up for costume parties, Comic Cons, theater shows...or just because. I love cooking and even more so, eating...it's seriously one of my favorite past times. I am pretty happy if I have good company, friendly conversation, and maybe if I'm lucky a cold beer:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I want to see the world and meet tons of new fun people!! I've never tried couch surfing before, but a friend of mine has hosted, and her couch surfers had such a great time at an impromptu bbq I threw at my house, that they ended up staying on MY couch that night!

I've traveled with lots of different types of people and it is just so enjoyable. I've stayed at fancy resorts, and that is nice and everything, but it's really been the times I've met locals or other fellow travelers when I've enjoyed myself the most

My favorite movie is Big Fish, because it is magical, adventures, beautiful and has a several love stories. A laugh, cry, and feel good movie all at the same time. I also love some silly movies like Austin Powers, Christmas Vacation, Big Trouble in Little China. As well as American Beauty, League of Their Own...and way more that I can't rememember right now!

I really enjoy The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo triology recently. I just picked up a dozen or so books from a bookstore that was closing in Philly so I hope to dig into a few of those soon!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to the one of the biggest festivals in India called Kumbh Mela in Allahabad. It was the most amazing and interesting thing I've ever seen. I've touched the Ganges and met some truly fascinating people.It was weird/interesting/cool sticking out like a sore thumb. I am a white American girl...and I was traveling with two 6 foot Norwegians, one 5 ft white red head, and a Chinese guy. We didn't look like anyone there and yet everyone so incredibly nice. In fact we felt like rock stars--everyone wanted to take pictures with us...I felt like I had just stepped out of Hollywood!

I can share my knowledge of the places I've visited and especially good insight on Philly...I can tell you where to get the best cheesteaks, explain what a Mummer is, and sing the Eagles' fight song with you! I will also share my good nature and spirit
