I'm a 32 year old Canadian/American woman with incurable wanderlust! I have visited 21 countries and counting, and have lived in four (I am likely not done moving yet). Most of my travel so far is in Europe and North America...next I plan to explore South America, then Asia, then Africa.

I am a low key person - I love writing, reading and yoga and I'm generally quiet but very friendly. I'm introverted but not shy - I prefer small group or one-on-one interaction to crowds and loud places.

I have recently quit my job and am going to spend three months exploring South America. I will start in Colombia and try to make it to Patagonia, but I haven't made any specific plans beyond Bogotá. This is my first time taking a long trip like this and never been to South America.

I'm looking forward to meeting other people, learning about the culture, exploring nature, and taking my time exploring the region. I studied Spanish several years ago and I want to improve my skills during this trip.

I am passionate about books - my all-time favourite is Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts. I've read all of Barbara Kingsolver's books and am working my way through Dean Koontz's.

As for music, my tastes are low key. I like folk, classic rock, classic country, indie rock and I'm eternally nostalgic for 90's Pop.

I was a "Big Sister" when I lived in San Francisco. Big Brothers Big Sisters is an organization that matches volunteers with children who are disadvantaged or at risk. My "Little Sister" was a 14 year old girl who had lost her mother and had been homeless for much of her childhood. I spent almost every Saturday for over a year with her and we have stayed in touch regularly ever since. She is now a mother, and is completing her Master's Degree in Social Work. I could not be more proud, it was the most fulfilling experience I have ever had.

I am a very patient teacher and would love to exchange lessons in English for learning conversational Spanish. I am a good cook but would like to learn more about creating recipes.

I also have an affinity for spending time and providing companionship for elderly people. When (if!) I return to Canada, I plan to find a job doing so.
