Hello! I'm Lauren from Australia. How to describe me...im friendly and sociable, i think I'm hilarious and hope you will too! I left home a year ago to travel and see as much of the world as i can. So far its taken me through Europe, America and central America. I love outdoor music/lifestyle festivals so ive based my travel around different events. A main reason for leaving home was to connect with more people from the international tribe of like minded souls. I absolutely LOVE cooking.. its something that makes me the happiest and i would like to start a food truck venture when i am back in Australia. I studied Reiki while in Guatemala and working with food and healing together is something i am passionate about.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After many recommendations from friends that i should try couch surfing as it is a perfect way to combine my moneyless travel with my desire to meet new and awesome people along the way! I have had so much kindness come my way while travelling and have always hosted travellers when i lived in Australia. The idea of a platform where we can connect and share with backpackers is amazing.

I'm fairly eclectic with my music tastes!
Books I'm currently reading the second volume of the flower of life, all about geometry and our existence...heavy but amazing read.
I'm more of a tv show buff than movie (well i used to be before travelling) My childhood answer would of been Buffy the vampire slayer! Now ive been watching Shameless and modern family on netflix :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently i was in Panama and lucky enough to attend Tribal gathering. An event in the Panama jungle with indigenous tribes from over twenty different countries in attendence. All there to share their knowledge and skills, with workshops and plant medicines and just incredible stories and vibes. An experience to incredible to sum up in a paragraph..lets chat about it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to work as an outdoor recreation instructor and kayaking was my thing! I can teach a mean cocktail or two. I like to share stories and ideas with people i met and learn what they love and what they feel.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I studied Reiki with a master while in Guatemala and am looking to continue improving my skills and experience with anyone who is interested in experiencing esoteric healing. I can make some great food and share lots of laughs and smiles.
