Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's really a simple reason why I am on Couchsurfing. I am an American girl, studying in Scotland, with one passion: to travel. I want to experience different cultures and learn about myself in the process. I would love to meet new people and compare how different I grew up compared to how others grew up (cheesy, but it's true). I want to be ready and experience all that life has to offer, and this is the first step!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music to explore is undoubtedly music from different cultures. I have a playlist on my phone of a few songs from each country or culture I could think of that describes the vibe of the area to me. I also appreciate classical music from playing the violin. I also enjoy the songs on the radio as well. My favorite movie would have to be the Imitation Game because of its intelligence and historical context. I am currently reading all of the Sherlock Holmes stories and am really enjoying it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done is decide to move continents for my education. Born and raised in the US having only been to Europe once before, I decided to take a leap of faith and move across the globe and follow my heart. In that time, I have met so many incredible people from almost all 7 continents (darn Antarctica) and found myself and what I believe in.
