I believe that travel exposes an individual to new experiences which is followed by new ways of thinking. This is crucial to the human experience, and can only be facilitated through open-mindedness, self-awareness, and humility. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to travel thus far in my young life and hope to have many more

I am an American student currently studying in France. I come from a mid-size town in middle America and am studying literature and French in Le Mans. I am 23 years old. In the United States I have been studying Anthropology, Sociology, and Philosophy for the past four years and it feels like I have been a student forever ! But I am looking forward to graduation in May, 2019

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard of Couchsurfing from some fellow classmates here in Le Mans and it seemed to me the perfect way to travel. I value the community offered by Couchsurfing, it is one of a kind! It is so humanistic and I admire the way it connects people to each other in a way that wouldn't otherwise be possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 19 years old, a good friend of mine and me hitchhiked from Chicago to the Gulf of Mexico. It took about one month and it was a complete mess and we had no idea what we were doing but it was the most free I have ever felt in my life
