Short version of my life: After graduating in 2014 I spent a year teaching English in Nanjing, China -- after that I spent a couple months traveling through Russia before jaunting around so-called Eastern Europe and finally returning home. Now I'm back in Silver Spring -- an inner suburb of DC -- and living with my parents. Life is good :)

Unfortunately I live in the suburbs with my parents so I can not really host people. But if you are a young traveler from another country and would like someone to show you around, let me know!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Last summer after I had graduated from college and was waiting around to go to China, I decided I would get really into cycling and ended up taking a 5 day bike trip down the Mississippi river from Burlington, Iowa to St. Louis, Missouri by myself. It was my first long distance bike trip, and it was kind of a stupid thing to do, especially because the river levees had broken so most of the roads were flooded (didn't think to check the road conditions beforehand woops) but turned out to be one of the most amazing experiences of my life :) One night I couldn't find a campsite so I camped out on a riverbank and the cops woke me up at 5 in the morning :(

Now I am hoping to take a 5-6 month bike trip across China next year :)
