About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to travel the world! I work long hours and save every penny so that someday I can live my dream. I'd eventually like to be an expat and live in Asia or Mexico.

ABOUT ME

I just moved to Kansas City in May. I decided to open my apartment up to couchsurfers so that someday I can travel and couchsurf myself. I am currently planning several expansive trips to both Europe and Central/South America. Traveling is my motivation, and I love to meet fellow travelers, talk about traveling, and share stories.

PHILOSOPHY

Self-discipline will get you anywhere.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never couchsurfed (formally) before but I've spent plenty of time sleeping on couches and floors during my travels. I've had a few friends recommend couchsurfing so I figured now's a better time than ever to sign up.

Interests

Traveling. Languages. Learning. Music. Art. Reggae.

Music: Die Antwoord, At The Drive-In, Blood Brothers, Aquabats, Big D and the Kids Table, Sparta, Jawbreaker

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard for me to think of anything I've done that's very amazing compared to some of the travel stories I've heard from other people. I think the most exciting thing I've done is traveling to China by myself when I was in college. It was my first time traveling outside of the states, I knew ZERO Chinese, and I was totally alone until I got to Beijing and met up with some friends. I'll never forget that 13 hour plane ride, and how I was so terrified for NO reason!

Teach, Learn, Share

I make a living teaching English, and I'd love to help any traveler who wants to work on their English skills. I was an English major in college so I'm always happy to recommend books, talk about books, edit writing, or just shoot ideas back and forth over a beer.

That being said, I love to learn languages and anybody who'd offer me a language lesson or two during their stay would be repaid!
