About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Two birds, one red convertible and 12 states in less than two months
ABOUT ME
Born in Arizona, moved to Nevada and off to Texas where my two sisters and I were raised. I'm a born care-giver with a degree in Advertising and a strong motivation to go to nursing school to be a midwife. Let's hear it for changing one's mind a little too often. I'm recently returning from a small West African country called Burkina Faso where I finished a 27 month contract with the Peace Corps. I'm already getting an itch to go abroad again!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed a few houses and once I'm settled, I'd love to host when I can.
Interests
I love all things food. I am really a 400lb man stuck in this average size female body... I love to eat and try new foods. I feel like it lets one get to know a culture all the better.
I love to be creative; avenues I take for this are: photography, painting, dancing, music, writing, etc.
I love to be outdoors - I never truly knew this before living in a remote village in West Africa.
I love learning and engaging my brain. Even when I get frustrated there comes a feeling of accomplishment once I've cleared the obstacle.
I love sports and being active - volleyball, swimming, running, tennis... get my blood pumping and I'm happy.
I recently learned of my love of reading, again I must thank my stint in Africa for that. Haruki Murakami and Tom Robbins are two of my favorite authors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I participated in a Bike Tour in Burkina Faso to raise money for gender and development projects. I rode almost 2,000km in 23 days and we, as a total, raised close to $6,000!! I've got my legs of steel from that endeavor!
Seeing men in Burkina Faso lift a motorcycle to put on-top of a "bush taxi" - essentially a small van used as a taxi... These men are the strongest EVER! If you ever wanna get "ripped" then go to any developing country and work for a transportation company.
Game of Thrones... my heart is still saddened by Neddard's death.
