ABOUT ME

My name Laurence, I'm a freelance photographer and also run a small publishing company named [arthur-frank]. The latter one, was the main reason why I joined this community over a year ago when we published a collection of contemporary photography, called 'If You Leave'. This year we published a second book which i'm currently presenting to independent bookstores in LA and NYC next week.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I got in touch with people on CS for the first time last year when traveling to NYC and stayed with a friendly couple, who have since visited our couch in London :) Tho I'm afraid that is as far as my CS experience goes.. for now.

Intereses

Because of what I do, I have an avid interest in anything visual, I also come from a strong political and historical background. I really enjoy cooking and eating food.

Música, películas y libros

At the moment, I'm reading Down and Out in Paris and London by George Orwell, and Wicked Company by Philipp Blom. Serge Gainsbourg or Brel are usually playing in the background and at the moment I'm listening to Danger Mouse and re-visiting Elliott Smith. Films.. I'm really liking some of the Brittish films that have come out lately, like 'Fish Tank', 'Boy A' and more recently 'Submarine'. I will never watch enough French, Italian, German and American films from the 60's and 70's.

One of the more pleasing things i have done, is basically what I'm doing now, and that is traveling with a book i have recently published, which is a collection of contemporary photographers from around the world..
