About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to get back to Oxford for 3pm to meet Clare...I think I'm already late....

ABOUT ME

I need to think about this one a bit!!

PHILOSOPHY

Ahh, the usual! Be nice to people, be open and interested, try and learn from things as you go along, and have fun!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just signed up this week... I hope I can surf and host, I'ave got to ask my flatmate Em, and then all will be good! Met a cool guy in Greece who told me about this, and then found out my friend Nouk is also couch-surfing, so here I am! Yey!

Interests

Windsurfing, kayaking, anything watery (!) meeting new people and hearing new stories. Learning as much and as varied stuff as possible! Jumping into things with both feet and finding where it gets me!

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything by Pedro Almodovar - that man must have been a woman in his former life...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The forest in Gabon is one of the most amazing places, and it was really tough living in a village there, but I was really lucky, cause I saw so much! Around 300 mandrills in the forest in Lope, that was pretty awesome! One of the hunters, mbembo socrates, singing to the forest as we came into his hunting camp - barmy guy! There must be other things, but I'll remember them over a beer!

Teach, Learn, Share

Ooohh, thats tricky! My PhD taught me how to catch your own food, which isn't much use unless you are in the middle of a forest! But I can teach some basic watersports! And geeky science stuff??!!And if anyone French wants to practice their english, we can alternate between languages! I can teach very basic flute for people who are just starting out...

I'd love to get my French back up to scratch again - after coming back from Gabon I have left it slide. And if anyone is a windsurfer out there - teach my to carve gybe I am begging you! I am spending too much time landing on my arse!

Sharing - always looking for people to galvanise me into action - running, bike ride, watersports....but I have absolutely no coordination, so anything where I have to hit a ball will result in hilarity/frustration :)
