Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Couchsurfing and, when I get a bigger apartment, hosting
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I went at it solo for two weeks in Italy, and I'm never traveling any other way. I haven't gotten to host because of my very bohemian living situation—no couch to surf on—though I have provided painstakingly detailed city guides to friends' couchsurfers in London and Berlin. I have met random strangers who ended up becoming great friends through hospitality, camaraderie, and general good vibes, too, which is kind the same thing.
Interests
writing, writing, writing, reading, and running. I have a blog (somewhat) and write fiction and nonfiction and do copyediting and proofreading to make up the financial difference. I love breakfast, parties, breakfast parties, and talking about the Internet.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: indie, alternative, folk, blah blah blah. Spotify has really broadened my musical horizons and made me non-fussy; lately I've been listening to female French singer-songwriters and 90s grunge, as well as the new Daft Punk single on repeat.
Lots of books: David Foster Wallace, The Virgin Suicides, The Corrections, NW by Zadie Smith, Leaving the Atocha Station (great traveling/finding oneself, artsily, book, HIGHLY recommend), The World According to Garp, etc.
Movies: Don't watch that many, but I'm generally supportive.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been camping on the Great Wall of China!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Anything (English) word-related, especially if you need an editor who is ruthless, yet reassuring. Also: Sneaking Beer Into Clubs: Berlin Freelancing 102
Learn: I really, really, really need to work on my German, and my Spanish is getting embarrassing, too, but I'm super shy about both and need you to force me to practice.
