ABOUT ME

We are a family, mother, father and 4 kids age 8 to 14. Mammy works at the university, daddy is a basketball coach. We like hiking, biking, basketball, volleyball, swimming and traveling. We live in a comfortable house at 1 k from the city centre of Leuven.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We travel a lot and have been in many places. We used to live for 25 years in community houses.
After three months of couch surfing as a host, we have had lots of positive experiences. Up to today (May 2014), we hosted about 20 guests and sometimes had to decline requests so it would still be manageable.
The only negative feeling we have is that sometimes, for a very small amount of the requests, the line between being accommodating and the feeling of being used is small.
So future surfers: we like to host people, also people in need of free accommodation, but we are not a hotel where you can drop in and out anytime you whish. We will answer honestly any request, but we expect an answer back. And if you're invited and you accepted, we expect you to come. Or do every possible effort you can to warn us you have been prevented.
