About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to meet people I never would have encountered, experience situations I never expected, see parts of the world not in pictures and make good memories along the way.
ABOUT ME
I am a young, ambitious, spontaneous, adventurous, curious, light-hearted, open-minded, wide-eyed, food-loving, sarcastic, impatient, easy-going, friendly person looking to make a new buddy or two through my travels.
PHILOSOPHY
Everything will work out in the end because life is dynamic, not static and SOMETHING has to happen to move you forward. Also, don't dwell on the things you can't change unless you are going to try to change them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I participate by sharing my fun-loving spirit with the kind people who are willing to give me a warm, safe place to sleep on the nights I am away from my home bed. In the future I hope to share my fun-loving spirit and a couch or spare bed to the kind people who are looking for a warm, safe place to sleep on the nights they are away from their home bed.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
While I am a fresh face to the website, I am not completely new to the couchsurfing experience. I traveled this summer with a friend who shares my adventurous tastes and we decided to give this couchsurfing phenomenon a try on our trip to Rome, Italy. We had an incredible experience, and one that never would have happened had we stayed in a hostel. I felt like I learned more about the people and the culture of that country from one weekend with a few locals than I could have gotten traveling with a tour group for a month! I was humbled and gracious to our generous host, and my confidence and belief in this system was 100% confirmed.
Interests
competitive swimming (I was on the varsity swim team at my university), any and all forms of food, creative writing, music that makes you feel something (even if only occasionally), horseback riding, photography (more looking at, less taking of as my camera is currently at the bottom of the river Thames), listening to new languages where I have no idea what is being said, soft warm sweaters, sunshine, well-worn furniture, hot chocolate, beaches, reading (and occasionally writing) blogs, living near water, witty sayings, people that make me smile

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have experienced so many small situations where the repeated incredible kindness of strangers has led me to believe that people ARE innately good creatures.
Teach, Learn, Share
Must admit I am a but intimidated by this box. Surely I have things I can teach and share, and of COURSE I want to learn anything people are willing to teach or share with me. I have found my positive outlook on life is something I have been able to share with people. I will have to come back with more things for this later.
