About Me
Hi, I’m Laurie. I travel with my ride or die, Jacob. We have a Staffordshire Terrier and too many art supplies. Jacob is a freelance concept artist, and I’m a wedding coordinator and calligrapher. We’re big travel junkies and like to visit the odd and uncomfortable places the world has to offer. We’ve camped under the northern lights in Iceland, got lost for hours in the foggy Andes of Ecuador, and had to flee a hostel in Scotland at 3am because it was haunted. We’re both obsessed with 70s music, Mexican food, and Office quotes.

Music, Movies, and Books
Everything 70s music except for disco (excluding ABBA) and female classic country (i.e. Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette).
Walter Mitty, Interstellar, Wall-e, Boxtrolls, Snowpiercer, anything with Jessica Chastain, Amy Adams,Tina Fey, or Reese Witherspoon. Every cheesy chick flick you can think of and every musical that exists.
Favorite book is Beautiful Hero and almost any other autobiography I can find.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Made a Gordon Ramsey worthy quiche in a toaster oven.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook you a mean Southern meal. Biscuits, grits, sweet tea, fried chicken, whatever you want, you got.
I also have some great travel tips after working for an airline for over a year!
Countries I’ve Visited
Aruba, Austria, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, France, Germany, Iceland, Mexico, Scotland, United Kingdom
