I'm an open, friendly person who is always interested in meeting new people and hearing their stories, which is what brought me to Couchsurfing! I'm quite creative, dabbling mostly in music (guitar), photography and film in my spare time. I love travelling to new countries and discovering different cultures, how different (or similar) they are to mine and how they came to be this way.

I've lived in Spain for 10 years, returned back to England for 10 years and now currently living and working in Brighton. Growing up in a foreign country really warps your world view, you meet very different people with customs your unfamiliar with, and you slowly adapt to it all. By the time I came back to England, I didn’t really know where I belonged (the answer is nowhere ;)).

Interests

I like taking pics, and making flicks, I'd really like to meet other people interested in film/photography. I take photos on 35mm, I try to get a feel for the places I visit and reflect that through my photography.

Been playing the guitar on/off for 7 years, always open to jam with people and learn new techniques and playing styles.

Favourites directors are Fellini, Scorsese, Kubrick, Wes Anderson, Christopher Nolan, Spike Jonze, etc. Films that inspire me: No Country for Old Men, 2001 Space Odyssey, 8 1/2, Ex Machina. Do yourself a favour and watch 'La Dolce Vita', and '8 1/2'.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiked 1000km across Morocco, from Fez to Marrakech. Met so many incredible people who were willing to let me stay in their home, prepare me delicious food and meet their friends/family. It was amazing how open these people were, how they were willing to share everything with you and asked for nothing in return; definitely the most rewarding travel experience I've had so far.
