ABOUT ME

There is no end to the scope of things that Brandt and I want to do. We are in our mid/late 30s and we still play the "what we might be when we grow up" game with ourselves. Luckily, our current job situation is amazing and we love working as mentors. We also have and take lots of time off for personal growth, exploration of the world and adventure. We are pretty independent but we love good company. Brandt is endlessly curious and a great cook. I am a solid storyteller. We are both animal lovers!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are relatively new to this, but we would love to start hosting some people and to meet new people while traveling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A few visitors have come this way, and we've done one trip to AZ that was amazing. In the past we've both done lots of backpacking/independent travel experiences including Brandt's tour of US and Europe with work and my year + of farmstays and hostels in Australia. We also often have visiting artists stay with us and we love to play the host and make them feel at home in our little world.

Interests

So much! Biking, hiking, skiing, learning, exploring, photographing, lost treasuring, drinking, swimming, cooking, catching live music. We love to people watch just about anywhere. We dig reading maps and figuring how to get from point A to Z. Driving and listening to the radio is simple but so fine. We also love to see theatre, eat exotic foods, go for long walks and scenic hikes, and swim in natural bodies of water (rivers are my favorite). We love to cook with others and share what we have with the world around us.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in the rainforest for a year was intense and beautiful in every moment. Doing service work with students and the Maasai in Kenya was life changing. We return to this experience every chance we get.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some pretty fun memory tricks, but my best offering is my ability to share stories in vivid (sometimes exaggerated) detail. Brandt can cook vegan meals you won't soon forget and can fix just about anything.
