About Me

ABOUT ME

Quite but I am the one my friends or close ones can count on....ready to share the smiles and sorrows equally. I believe in peace, trust and happiness....and appreciate beauty...Since truth is beauty, beauty is goodness, goodness is justice. And my slogan is let peace prevail. Let us all be more humane than just be a human!!!!! I would be what I expect from others rather than waiting for others to change for me...

Interests

The hidden wonders of nature...I find beauty, peace and uniqueness there. A flight of a lonely bird, a lonely cloud, the silent waves...anything anything will will grab my attention..may be a beggar at the street corners, a old man squatted at the park looking vacantly at the pediatricians, the smile of an innocent baby whom you will never meet again or know not..little words of kinds and love, silent gestures of care, or a documentary about people and life, culture, cuisine, well anything about people and life catch my attention. I worry about world, the crime, biased attitudes, lack of love, lack or ethics and dream of ways to make the world more humane!!!!...I write..I teach...I try to make my students to cast away their narrow minded ideas...I travel to destinations where I can be one with nature...and remember what Hopkins says..yes there is still nature left for us ..!!!! True, its tender touches sooth me. I find peace there in nature..in wilderness!!!!..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. A day out with my son syroos, Kenneth from Uganda, Hesam from Iran, Salimeh from Persian Gulf, pooja from India and Tina from Tanzania. I found unity in diversity...I found that world has no barriers..People make boundaries but love and care touch any hearts....I will never forget the day we went boating...saw the crocodiles near us basking in sunlight, and looked at us with wide open eyes..and even the wild birds in the birds sanctuary flew around and nestled close by not bothered about our presence. It was heavenly believe me!!!
2. A bath in the Athiranpally waterfalls, India...the water was ice cold, then the rain rain came..monsoons in torrents...it fell on us...and we giggled and swam across the river..hilarious..How can I forget the great moments!!! It is like a dream..
3. A day in the house boat ...boating in the Vemmband lake....floating lethargically in vast stretches of waters engulfing us ...and the palm fringed beaches at the distance..water ! water everywhere..!..we went to the mouth of Indian ocean and I felt I am a drop! , a wave and really I wanted to drift with the wind!!!!!
4. A cool day in the misty mountains of Ooty...and tea estates..It was heavenly. The cedar trees and the thick pine trees..then rain came..and we could not see anything for hours...lol we were in a misty world and it enveloped us!!! unforgettable..of course.
5. An autumn evening in the Stone Henge s in England...I saw the people from all over the world..gazing at the stone pillars there..but it told me stories..stories of the Celts,Druids, and round houses and the forefathers of the Britons...driving back to Birmingham with Grover, philip and Ghodsiye made me to think.....the wonders of the world..the culture and identity our forefathers left behind...it tells us stories..lessons to learn..!!!! I looked at the stones with the same wonder and longing as I watched the Taj mahal in Agra some 15 years ago..
6.Swimmng in Urumiyeh lake..it was hilarious...I tried to dive..but I was popped up like a popcorn..lol shot up to the surface of the water. One need not know swimming to swim there..!!!you just float on the water...hahaha.it is funny!!!.
wonderful moments are many...I don't want to bore you all.
