About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live a year or two in New York City, and being able to run 10 k under one hour! Also, I've signed up for three obstacle races (Toughest) in September and October. Oslo, Copenhagen and Gothenburg!
ABOUT ME
I'm 30 years old, born and raised on the countryside by the great lake Vänern in Sweden where I learned to love nature and animals (except spiders - but I'm working on it).
I've lived a year in Lyon, studying French; travelled around Asia for a couple of months; lived for six months in Newcastle, Australia, studying at the university there; and now I live in a small town in Sweden, working at a non-profit organization called MOD - More Organ Donation.
I got a new heart three years ago, and I thank my donor every day that I'm still alive.
I love to travel - the feeling of going somewhere new is always so exciting, and meeting new people from different places is like traveling even though I'm still at home, which is just great!
I'd love to live abroad again, and right now all my energy is focused on how to accomplish all my goals without going bankrupt :)
PHILOSOPHY
I think that you can't learn anything of life if you don't have the experiences of others - so I will travel as much as I can to learn more about myself through others - in that way my life at home can be complete!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I surfed two places in New Zealand - Wellington and Queenstown. It was great! Met so many nice people =) Also had coffee with another surfer in Christchurch. Have had some contact via mail with surfers in Sweden, even if they haven't surfed my home I've managed to help them out a bit with travel-Scandinavia-related-questions.
Interests
Working out, hanging with my friends, cooking, watching films, read. Pretty normal stuff :) I do however like to knit as well, and I sometimes have my "old lady-evenings" when I climb up in the sofa, the cat curled up in my lap, a cup of tea on the table and just knit away! It's very cozy.

Music, Movies, and Books
Everything - I am an all-eater! But I say no to horror movies and too scary books (my imagination is way too vivid..
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Running for my life over the state border of Rajhastan to Delhi on an illegal bus when a riot started in the town of Jaipur - it was actually amusing at the time (not after when I read about the violence and shooting..)
Teach, Learn, Share
Do you need someone to cook for you? Or just to help you out in the kitchen? - I'm there! I can't stand aside and just look at all the wonderful colors of the ingredients without wanting to chop, mix and create!
I can also contribute with my stories from my travels, but I have just as many from my small idyllic hometown.
Let's share our different lifes with each other over a dinner just as deliciuos as our own memories! It'll be spicy, sweet and sour - a brilliant mix - and we'll leave with the happy feeling of a full belly and the will to try a new exciting 'dish'.
