Hey there,

the last 10 years were filled with many moves to various countries before i've eventually settled down in Berlin now.

My past couchsurfing experiences made it possible that I was able to travel and explore new places on a budget while being in uni and now that I have found a home place, I have enjoyed hosting myself.

While a home base is something I have greatly learned to appreciate, I still can't go without some travel plans.
Whether it be Interrail through Europe in 2016, a solo trip to Spain summer 2017, or some CS experiences memories while visiting Canada and NYC in 2021.

My past two trips brought me to Bangladesh and Central/ Latin America, where I each stayed for several month and both experiences shaped me greatly and my understanding for what long-term traveling can look like was also updated. Unfortunately did not couchsurf at that time but am looking forward to starting again.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a great appreciation for people who are willing to open their home but also themselves to new people. While I've always loved to travel and meet locals, I also admire the openness of the hosts and wish to learn a bit about that perspective as well each time I have a new encounter.

My own travels where shaped by CS where I was able to experience places and make connection even though on a budget and with little traveling experience at the time.

While I transition through the phases of being hosted, bringing in my own cultures, gaining new traveling insights and waiting for my own place to finally host myself, I strongly believe, that what I have received from others so far has shaped me in what I urged to give back - whether it be in a place to sleep or by different means.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Dhaka, Bangladesh for a few month while working with human rights activist and creating a documentary on feminism that has been published as educational material in Germany by now.

It was now purely an amazing experience by nature but a rather challenging one. But I was lucky to work with amazing women for this project and and to create something that keeps on having an impact!

And of course, I am happy to share the documentary :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Mostly words - whether it be a chat, a meaningful conversation, a listening ear or just some thoughts and stories share. When traveling, I often connect through words first. And while I enjoy spending time together and offer a helping hand or some tips and tricks regarding any dance steps, my profession leads me to be a person of words :)
