About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Scour the planet for a place called home.
ABOUT ME
I'd say I am pretty opinionated, but thankfully as the lines on my face become more defined, I have learnt when to offer my views and when to remain silent. I am very independent, derived from growing up very young.I have travelled and worked in numerous countries and seem to have the best experiences and meet the most people when I let go of making plans.I love meeting new people and learning from them and sharing experiences with people from all over the world.
PHILOSOPHY
Be curious and don't believe the hype. Treat people as you would like to be treated.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am yet to participate! I left London at the end of September (2012) so unfortunately have no home to offer anyone. When I find myself settled, then please do come and stay!
Interests
I have just literally finished my Masters degree in Human Rights, which I think speaks volumes about some of my interests. Mind you, I am not one of those people who wants to convert people to my way of thought, just am passionate about social justice, and hate hypocrisy more than anything in the world. I am also into photography, so love ambling around anywhere and everywhere. I love hip hop music and am wondering when I will grow out of this phase, which I doubt will ever happen!

Music, Movies, and Books
Hip hop, some dubstep, jungle, drum and bass, classical, world music, Nina Simone, blues, some jazz, reggae, two-step, all sorts!
Pulp Fiction, Stand By Me, Puss in Boots, Favela Rising, Lila Says, E.T., Ghostbusters......
Shantaram, Crime and Punishment, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, Lolita, anything by Noam Chomsky, Twelve Bar Blues, wow, it's hard to think about all the incredible stuff I've read.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One moment would have to be when I was in India. I had been meeting random people and living with their families. I was staying with the third family and the son took me on a very long motorbike ride through the mountains to meet his sister. What he didn't tell me is that the village had never seen a white person before. When I arrived, the women, who didn't speak a word of English, dressed me up in Indian clothes, painted my nails, donned my wrists with bracelets and then the men paraded me through the village. I felt pretty self-conscious and people's reactions were incredible! The rest is to be told face to face over a really good bottle of red wine, Spanish or French preferably!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have just finished doing a Diploma, Degree and Masters so have some knowledge about International Development and Human Rights that I would love to share. I am also heavily involved in pro-Palestinian activism, so am happy to sit and chat about that if it's an area you might be interested in. I am very keen to learn pretty much anything from you, yet be warned, I am awful at multi-tasking (I got mild brain damage after being run over) so if it requires doing too many things all at once, forget it unless you are extremely patient! For example, making an English breakfast can send me into a tizzy, or a Sunday roast as there are so many facets to those meals!!!
