ABOUT ME

Grew up in the Americas, went to school in Boston, the studied Classics/Late Antiquity at Oxford, worked in a cafe/lived in Seattle last summer. Moved to Budapest to do graduate school in Medieval Studies. Above all I love travelling, and meeting the great people who live in cool places. I am a ridiculous nerd/geek who is in love with the Ancient World. Love talking about (but definitely not limited to) history, philosophy, art, theology, literature, and food.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have travelled a lot throughout Europe, North America and the Middle East, using Couchsurfing. It has been a great way to share in travels with others, and I hope to be able to host other people and share and help them along in their travels. I love exchanging stories, and giving hospitality to people.

I listen to everything from folk music to Ambrosian chant to electronic punk.
Bu i do enjoy Shout Out Louds, Ra Ra Riots, Ben Folds, the Smiths, Florence and the Machine, Regina Spektor, Kate Nash, Mumford and Sons, A Fine Frenzy, Bombay Bicycle Club.

have LOTS of favorite books but my favorite one that I'm currently reading is Brideshead Revisited (Waugh). Graham Greene is one of my favorite authors. Goethe, Gibran, Lewis, Joyce, Chekhov, Destoyevsky,and Puskhin.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacked in the the Sierras, ate smoked whale in Iceland, took the train from the Atlantic to the Pacific twice, hiked up Mount Sinai in Converse, travelled to Egypt on foot, cliff diving in Cyprus.

I love to cook, so I can share various dishes. :)
