I Quit my job............ travel the world... ADVENTURE PLEASE!!!!

ABOUT ME

I am a nurse in an emergency department of a large hospital in melboure ( lots of great stories to tell). My passions in working in international aid and development, or with disadvantaged and marginalised communities. I am currently undertaken my post grad studies in Global health through the International Federation of the Red Cross. I am volunteering for a few months in Honduras in December 2014 and then plan to see what spectral Central America has to offer!! I try to live by the modo think global act local!!!!

I am a keen traveling, loving the places, people, experience and memories created whilst traveling. I am a big nature fan, love hiking, swimming, bike riding and the natural environment in general. Apparently so much that I was employed by my high school to run some out door education programs. This basically allowed me to get paid for being in the bush, by the ocean or up a mountian. Sure I was often responsible for large groups of adolescence but they pretty much took care of them selves while I had fun.

Besides the outdoors I'm a pretty down to earth girl, I enjoy yoga, meditation, alternative therapies, organic foods ( goodness) and having fun. I respect the environment physical, believing is sustainability and preservation and emotional regarding personal and social environmental ( considering them to be highly intertwined).

I enjoy meeting fellow travellers and sharing stores, experience, laughter and above all FUN!!!!!! I'm defiantly not apposed to a few late night drinking session that were supposed to be one bottle of wine ...... six bottles later we have political debate, intellectual/silly conversation or just good old sing-a-longs.

I love music, playing Guitar, singing, writing and especially listen to it. I grew up in a very Musical house whist unfortunately I i rarely play or sing anymore I am alway up for a strum of the guitar and a sing with whom ever is around, or myself is there are no willing participators.

PHILOSOPHY

Not here for a long time, here for a good time. Basically I really enjoy meeting new people, spending time with friends, be happy and living my life to make the most of this amazing world and the people in it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosting/surging for me has been a great way to meet a range of people, share experience, great friendships and add to the experience of travel and thus life in general. So many great experiences and hopefully many more to come.

Food, beer, bike riding, chickens, composting, friends, camping, hiking, partying, music, summer, sunshine, beaches, rain in hot weather, interesting places, people and experiences, walking slow enough to take in your surroundings but fast enough you're not late for work, tequila town ( but no the ride back form tequila town, slightly painful), politics, social justice and history, wine and talking absolute rubbish whilst consuming copious amount of it, with fellow wine consumers. TRAVELLING. Road tripping by the ocean. resting my eyes in the middle of the afternoon, bonfires on the beach, camp fire in general. Home cooked food (preferable by my house mates). raw foods, recycling, farmers markets and my eco friendly shoes!!!!!!!!

To me all my travels are amazing!
- Yosemite national park
- snowboarding throughout Canada in negative 40 degree Celsius temperature.
- volunteering in Cambodia at a rural hospital
- the Bahamas ( all of it)
But most importantly the people I have met, the friendships and memories made!!! Life can be so awesome, attributes mostly by those that surround you.

Regarding food I make a mean hummus ( chick peas, lemons, tahini and olive oil) task amazing and a lot better then a supermarket stuff.
I am also pretty handy in the crafts department, give me a crochet hook and some wool and beanie's are create. It is super easy and saves you load on your winter accessories and are super original with you own designs.
