ABOUT ME

I am a very open minded person, interested in new ideas and experiences! I enjoy traveling and also staying a while in places where the culture is different from my own. I'm not quite sure where this will lead me, but I kind of live my life adventure by adventure. My current adventure is that I quit my job as an Information Tech. consultant in NYC to become and english teacher in Shanghai. From there, who knows!

Update Jan 2011.....After China I found myself living and working in Australia for some time, and now I am headed towards Brazil for travel in Jan - April! I'm loving this lifestyle, just trying to think of how to string together all my experiences into something sustainable for my life!

PHILOSOPHY

I live every day trying to do things that make me happy, and succeed at this most of the time. If I realize my life is not making me happy, I change what I'm doing!

books: I'm into a lot of non-fiction about current affairs, history, health & wellness, biographies, but also some fiction too esp Gabriel Garcia Marquez these days, but I'll pretty much read anything. My favorite books of all time are Brave New World and Unbearable Lightness of Being.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn anything, but specifically these days when I go to China how to cook Chinese cuisine, and also how to get around in China obviously :) To teach, well I'm good at math but that's not very practical. I don't know, maybe yoga or fitness? I'm into working out in various forms and I've been doing it, in moderation, for the past 10 years or so and I've had some friends who are yogis, personal trainers, etc so I've gathered some knowledge! I've recently picked up surfing. I'm no pro but I can show someone very basically how to!
