About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To maximize my awesomeness through the art of travelling.

ABOUT ME

I am super laid-back these days. I unwound the tight wad that was clogging my emergency escape when I relocated to Hawaii two years ago. I'll probably never go back to the mainland (to live anyway). I actually haven't been back to visit since I left and I'm going with it.

PHILOSOPHY

Even if you win the race, you're still a rat. Slow down and take things as they come without trying to conquer anything or anyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was a couchsurfing member for awhile and hosted quite a few interesting characters. When I moved to Big Island last year, my couch became indefinitely unavailable and my ability to travel was put on hold. Now, my couch is still pretty much unavailable ( I have waaay too many roommates) but I am able to travel again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've noticed guys who surf girls' couches tend to think they're in for a free hookup which is absolutely absurd and out of the question. Guys who host are awesome. Girls who surf tend to be pretty cool and self-sufficient. Girls who host always rock.

Interests

I f-ing love hiking/exploring Hawaii and sweating out last night's beer. School occupies most of my time right now so I basically just take what I can get and enjoy every minute of non-thinking, leisurely activity.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love it all except scary movies, country music and history books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went skydiving last April and I swear to God, I didn't know what living was until that moment. I was scared to death but after doing it, I can't wait to have the experience once again. It is a true test of letting go.

Teach, Learn, Share

Let go of expectations. You will never be disappointed. Learn to listen to yourself to know when the ego is what's hurting, not you.
