ABOUT ME

After some travels when I was student (Australia, South Africa). I arrived in Grenoble to start to study alpine ecology in 2012.
Basically, that means that I spend two months a year in the moutains and the remaining ten months staring at my computer, and, also enjoying way of life of Grenoble (lot of outdoors, concerts, bars...).

PHILOSOPHY

Not a real personal philosophy. Sorry, come again later for a nice hedonistic or tolerant sentence ;-)

I take a lot of interest in environmental friendly stuff, human/nature philosophy and other alternative stuff.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Filling mailboxes with too late couchsurfing requests but ultimately finding answers ! CS Magic, i guess.

But now that I finally got a flat I can return the favour.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have use it during my travels to meet people, find travelmates and of course, find a couch.

I enjoy rock music (in any flavors...), but i like any other kind of music depending on the mood.
Some favorites (purely arbitrary and not exclusive): Pink Floyd, Air, Muse, Saez, Sigur Ros, Coldplay, Manu Chao...

I like cinema.From good movies to silly, stupid and very bad movies... Old or new.
Some random favorites : Tarantino's movies, The Wall, Koyaanisqatsi, In the mood for love, Virgin Suicides, Rosemary's baby, Take Shelter, Old Boy, Zabriskie Point, Pan's Labyrinth, Sin City, Planet Terror.

I have also quite a serie-phage.

Books: Diverse. Mainly fantasy/sci-fi lit but I read more diverse stuff when I'm not too lazy. I also pathologically hate Dan Brown.

The sky during a night in the Cederberg (SA), The desert in Australia. And the Ecrins in the Alps.

Learn how to whistle. It's a big gap in my life, something I have never been able to get. And this forces me to produce silly high-pitched noises when I have to.

Learn how to make a good coffee as it's the opium of the world. So i guess that the subtelties of the coffee/water ratio, the choice of the coffee and the way of doing it, is a major tool of power.

Learn how to ski as it is a requirement to survive Grenoble in winter.

As I am learning mountain plants and birds, I can share the few things I know about it.
