I've recently bought B&B Le Violette from an old grouchy Signora who, having turned 70 years old, was ready to retire. After dusting and minimally renewing the apartment where the B&B is set, I've been working on marketing which was dramatically lacking. It's a simple, quaint and comfortable space where nice people come to enjoy the medieval town on Lucca, Tuscany. Being social, friendly and loving to meet new people, I am having a great time hosting guests from all around the world.

I would like to try this new way of marketing to friendly people who are just looking for a clean, comfortable and safe place to stay, nothing more and nothing less. With other agencies I never know what kind of people are going to arrive here. Will they be happy with the place? Will they be respectful? I prefer personal communication as opposed to impersonal, cold hotel-like business.
I look for guests who are respectful to my other guests, clean and neat, courteous and friendly. Given that Couchsurfing is hosting, I also look for some sort of exchange with the people that I host for free, usually just to help me out with the daily chores. I manage this B&B all by myself so any help the guests can give me is extremely appreciated.
Most couchsurfers are bright people and can identify where, when and how I need help. I can't afford to have employees and I'm not good at telling people what to do. I need the couchsurfers to be respectful of my other guests, I need them to keep their room and bathroom clean and I need to feel that they are appreciative of having their own safe, comfortable and clean place to stay for free.
