I'm a Michigan native, and a musician, teacher, and outdoor enthusiast. I'm a perpetual student so have picked up a lot of random skills, though my interests change fairly often so I haven't generally leveled up to being an "expert" at any of my hobbies. Those have included at different times: wildlife tracking, native plants, Braziian jiu jitsu, audio engineering, songwriting, and primitive skills. I also spend a good deal of time thinking and/or talking about politics, issues of mental illness & addiction, and agriculture. Lately I've been volunteering for the Bernie Sanders campaign, which I was drawn to because of his experience during the civil rights movement and belief in the power of ordinary people.
