About Me
Hi there, how are you? :) My name is Lea-Sophie, but all my friends call me Lea, so you can go ahead and call me Lea as well. I am a 19 year-old German girl who is pretty bad at describing herself - but I'll give it a go! I would say I am a responsible, understanding, spontaneous person who loves to have fun and who can keep a place clean.
I am very open minded to trying new things and meeting new people. I love spending time with others, but I am also pretty independent, so you don't have to worry about me. :)
Another interesting bit of info is that I am a vegetarian but I absolutely don't mind staying with meat eaters.
At the moment I'm working as an aupair in Toronto, Canada. I'm so glad that I came here. It is such a gorgeous country and I would love to get the chance to see as much of it as possible before I leave. Coming here is the best decision I have made so far in my life and that's why I would like to thank you in advance for being a part of my journey and letting me stay with you!!! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In my opinion couchsurfing is the best way to meet and get to know new and interesting people, who I might become good friends with. It also gives me the chance to get insider tips on a city which I wouldn't be exposed to otherwise.
Interests
Things I like doing include most sports, but especially soccer. I played a lot when I was younger and I'm always up for a game :) Other outdoor activities I enjoy are hiking and cycling. If I can combine this with a bit of culture then its the perfect day for me. I also love socialising and getting involved in a community. I like to get out of the house and do something productive with my day.
However at the same time I like to chill out, listen to and/or practice music, watch a movie or have a good chat. I am always interesting in improving my language skills and I've loved getting stronger in my English over the last 7 months.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: In particular I like acapella covers and I can introduce you to some very good German artists as well. I also just discovered that I love country music :) The beat just makes me feel happy and optimistic.
Movies: I actually like every kind of movie except from horror. I enjoy watching romantic comedies, fantasy movies, dramas and so on. But what I absolutely adore are musicals and classic movies like "The King and I". Unfortunately I am the sort of person who gets addicted to series very easily, for example Castle, Sex and the City, How I Met Your Mother, Downton Abbey etcetera etcetera etcetera :D
Books: I love to read when I have the opportunity: I normally just go for whatever draws my attention at the library or Indigo! :) At the moment I am reading "The Skeleton Cupboard" by Tanya Byron, which is pretty interesting :)
Teach, Learn, Share
As I love baking and cooking I could share some of my recipes with you, including some German specialities if you like :) I have already mentioned above that I like culture and learning languages so I would be happy if you could pass on something from your culture to me and in return I will do the same for you. I'd love to learn more about Canada, and pick up any interesting or funny stories, while I'm travelling. If you are up for it, I can also share some German with you, in case you wanted to visit Germany someday. I can definitely recommend it! :)
