About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel the World where the wind blows me ... I shall Wander ...

ABOUT ME

I'm a multi-faceted being: A facet of me is academic, a facet craft and body artist, a facet digital artist, a facet burner (aka Burning Man community), a facet Goth, another is Heathen, another is tribal, another is gypsy, another is tinker, another is scientist, and yet another is romanticist. I'm an adventurer, artist, archaeologist, and environmentalist. I have lived many places: Born in New York (Bronx, New Rochelle, Eastchester, Friends Lake/Georgetown); Grade/High school in Roswell, New Mexico; University in Tallahassee, Florida; Archaeological Adventure living in Chianti Italy, Houston Texas, Vicksburg Mississippi, Colorado Springs Colorado, Seattle Washington, Los Angeles California, Ireland, Cornwall, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Idaho, and where my heart will always reside - where I deem to be my hometown Vancouver British Columbia. My close friends call me by my artist name of Leaf. I recently left the Pacific Northwest and relocating to Colorado. I am a single parent of a great 3 1/2 year old boy named Cian.

PHILOSOPHY

"I have always believed, Enjoy life to the fullest, make the most of every day, because when you die, you are going to be dead for a very very very long time. "
- Brian Jones, Rolling Stones (1962)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm relatively new to CS but have attended the Denver Freeze in 2008 and is where I got introduced to it. I plan to get pretty active with CS in the months/years to come as I'm a big advocate of couch surfing ... since then I've hosted couchsurfers, travelled extensively around the world, and continue the adventure

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've done lots of couch surfing from this site, Burning Man, friends, extended communities, and extended family around the world - England, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, and North America. I've hosted and been a couchsurfer.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm an archaeologist and anthropologist, so I have folklore and stories of old to share. I love to learn from chatting with others. I think the best classroom in the world is either over tea or coffee, in a bar, or around a campfire.
