About Me

Hello! I'm Leah and I'm a 22 year old nursing student in the Southern United States. Up until recently, I've been really connected to my hometown and never felt a need to travel...until I finally did this last April. My beach vacation plans had gotten ruined and so I booked a flight to Toronto, ON...CANADA! It was a first for everything- first flight, first time out of the Southern US, first time on a subway, even first time in a real city. It was truly amazing and eye opening. Now I have an insatiable travel bug that consumes the majority of my thoughts and I'm ready to see the world! I'm sorry my "About Me" is already so long but hopefully if you're still reading this, then one day I will get to meet you and make more amazing memories!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to connect with people from all over the globe, which will hopefully turn into wonderful travel experiences! Also, I am a college student, so money is tight and I've heard many great things about this network.

Interests

I try not to miss an opportunity to try something new. I love food! I love learning about other people, cultures and places. I am learning how to play the ukulele, and I'm also learning Spanish (very slowly). I love music and anything outdoors. I bow hunt... and I absolutely love dogs (but had to give mine away when they ate a hole in my rent house).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: If it speaks to me, I fall in love with it.
Movies: Almost anything except sad movies like Titanic, or other tragedies that everyone knows the ending to.
Books: Nursing books...

My impulsive, solo trip to Canada.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I don't have any amazing skills, and my ukulele skills aren't perfect just yet, but I would love to cook for anyone who could host. Beyond that, I can clean or help with chores. I can spend time genuinely getting to know my host and sharing experiences and memories.
