About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To keep travelling - see what else is out there! The bug has bitten...

ABOUT ME

I LOVE TRAVELLING! I love home, but I want to see as much as I can elsewhere...
I love getting out and seeing my friends, meeting new people, spending time with my family (and my dog!), and basically anything that involves something fun!
I work full time - the standard 9 to 5...it gives me money for holidays!
As long as my life involves travel and not all work/sleep/work/sleep, I'll be happy.
I get bored easily, have the attention span of a goldfish - there's so many things I want to do...learn another language, then another, get to Cuba before its vibe is lost forever, go on a working holiday, buy a house, see the Amazon, Maccu Piccu, the Canadian Rockies...the list goes ooooooooooooon!

PHILOSOPHY

Be as generous as you can with as much or as little as you have.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted and then couchsurfed with Alex. I stayed with him in Italy and got to see things off the tourist trail, and experience how Italian people live.

I've also hosted Lena from Germany (my first couchsurfer!) and 3 English guys when they needed a bed at the last minute - fun guys.

I love the fact that you can help out people from all over the world, have some new experiences, and learn something from them all. And they can do the same for you...

Interests

Travel is my passion. I love to see what else is out there in the world and the way that other people live - it fascinates me.
At the moment I'm particularly in love with Thailand. It's an amazing country with beautiful people :)
I just finished learning Italian and Spanish...now I want to be fluent!
I like getting out of the house to go for a drive, a coffee or to the beach. Outdoor festivals, motorsport races, football games, etc are always great! And having some drinks with friends! They brighten up your day always.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Comedies are great - there's nothing better than a good laugh!
Music: Depends on my mood...Sometimes dance, sometimes RnB, rock.... Some faves are Ministry of Sound, Thirsty Merc, Silverchair, Powderfinger, Tiesto, Coldplay, Live, Robbie Williams, Snow Patrol, Fallout Boy...it's a bit of a range trust me!
Books: I love travel books...I Just read the story of the people who started Lonely Planet, and a book called Marching Powder about a Bolivian prison - highly recommend it!! ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I pat Tigers in Thailand! Something I always wanted to do - WOW!
Stayed on Phi Phi island in Thailand - absolute paradise!

Teach, Learn, Share

Australia is an awesome place! I love it! People are pretty laid back and have a great sense of humour, they will also quite happily take you out drinking - no reason needed!
It's such a big place with desert, rainforest, mountains...a bit of everything for everyone!
You won't get eaten by crocodiles, we aren't infested with Kangaroos and unfortunately your chances of seeing a wild koala are bugger all!
My fave parts are:
Far North Queensland, and the Flinders Ranges, South Australia: The start of the outback (the scenery is stunning).

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Spain, Thailand, Vatican City State
