HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i give couch surfers a place to sleep, whether it be on a floor, a couch, or the occasional spare room! i also make regular market trips and introduce people to local cuisine other than the ever disappointing philadelphia cheesesteak.

i watch a disgusting amount of movies and documentaries. my favorites are about people with rare medical conditions, feral children, and societal outcasts.

i listen to everything from american folk music to rap to ambient noise and chirping birds. by force of my boyfriend, i also listen to quite a bit of pop radio and teen idol love songs.

i like to devour books. nabakov is my favorite writer, but i have been on a non-fiction kick reading any psychology book i can get my hands on, especially freudian case studies and anything by eric ericson.

i haven't done a lot of traveling in my life up to this point, but i did take a cross country trip to california on the AMTRAK to go live on a farm in Napa Valley for a few months. I took care of a hoard of goats and kicked a lot of chickens and plucked many a ripe tomato from the vine.
