About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn about permaculture, learn deeper respect for the world around me and everything in it, parent in such a way that my daughter respects the earth and the people on this planet, equip her to make better decisions than I have 😊

ABOUT ME

Classic overthinker. Open mind, sometimes too open. Love my toddler with all my lil heart.

PHILOSOPHY

Take life as it comes, learn every day, treat others gently (unless they like it rough ;) and discover the world and its inhabitants.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now surf and someday, when I grow up and get a big girl house, host (temporarily renting someone else's space!)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only one as yet but so far so good!!

Interests

Permaculture principles, outdoor activities (skating, xcountry skiing, snowshoeing, walking, trying to get more excited about running), formerly rugby (played a lot for years), living well - physical, mental, emotional well-being and development, beginner yoga, want to learn tai chi, mindfulness is a work in progress

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, some of everything. Polka being an exception, can't really get into it.
I love really dumb movies - guilty pleasure/weakness. I also love not dumb movies.
Books... Tsundoku (look it up)
That said, I do read, just takes me a REALLY long time. I like biographies a lot (Mountains Beyond Mountains and A Long Way Gone are great) and I try to read texbooks and self help but they tend to stack 5-10 high on the ol nightstand for a long time before completion

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumping into a cenote in Mexico from 15 or 20 feet up. I've jumped from much higher into water, but not this clear and breathtakingly gorgeous

I've seen 3 2-second long shooting stars, doesn't sound long but in shooting-star time it's awesome. I think my heart stops. I won't downplay regular shooting stars cause they're great, but daaaammmn

Teach, Learn, Share

Love who you are + take a few moments to notice someone else's shoes then take a few steps in them before jumping to conclusions about their character.
I am a pretty solid listener.
I love helping people organize their spaces so they work for them (customize it to fit your life and style)
I must learn Spanish.
I want to learn how to play the banjo.
I can make a mean cheesecake.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Netherlands, Trinidad and Tobago, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
