I'm Andrei and usually I travel and host together with my dear Margarita (https://couchsurfing.page.link/3tJCxqvnCce7BRMp9). Almost 3 years ago we moved to Portugal from ukrainian Carpatians. So I live in Portugal but spend summer time in Riga. For a long time I worked in IT companies as QA engineer and scrum master. But now I decided to take a break.
I was born and grew up in Riga, Latvia and then many years lived in St. Petersburg. I studied environmental sciences in the university and my first job was in the field of spatial planning. Nature, ecology and architecture are still my interests.
One of my hobbies are different non-alcoholic drinks such as chinese tea and yerba mate. I worked as a tea bartender and performed chinese tea ceremonies.
I've been vegetarian for more than 20 years and time-to-time cook some Chinese or Indian food.
I've been practicing yoga for 15 years (with some breaks:)) I prefer complex and meditative approach in yoga as in Shivananda, Bihar School and Ananda Marga traditions.

I like to meet new people from all around the world. It's great to help them travelling and show them interesting places I know. And, of course, to learn from them.
