Our mission is to be present and connected with our essence, trying to be conscious of every action and thought of our day to day. Thus, we will be open to change, feel and connect with each individual we have the pleasure of finding at this trail of life

ABOUT ME

We are a young and easy going couple. We have both lived with housemates over the years and in all of them there was amazing friendship, learning and networking experiences. Traveling for us is a need, but far beyond the places, it´s about people and cultural exchange.

My wife has worked for 6 years as an entrepreneur on the educational area. For the past 1,5 years she have been working as an educator coordinator of the social circus in crescer e viver, a non-profit organization who uses circus as a tool to attract childs and teenager and to promote social and human development.
I am a teacher, musician and computer engineer.

Now we are volunteering and researching institutions who work with human and social development, in order to exchange methodologies, understand the local challenges and forms of sustentability. In-between we trust we´ll have the chance to get to know amazing people, cultures and places around Africa an Asia.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We always had visitors in our home with the goal of personal and cultural exchanges. Over the past 1.5 years we have received more than twenty people from different countries. One was Suveer from India who introduced us couchsurfing. We are leaving for a year traveling the world and in that time will not be able to receive guests. We hope through the site to meet new people and continue the experiences of these exchanges. Returning to Brazil in 2013 will be a pleasure to welcome new friends on our couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are delighted to find a tool that facilitates and organizes a network of cooperation and learning, in which we always believed. As a teenager I lived a year with a foster family in the USA, later in college I saw an announcement and received a Japanese student for 20 days at my house (on this time I lived with my parents). On trips and research with social work I usually stayed at the house of people that worked at the projects on many countrys , we receive at our house in RJ people who came to the city to know the project in which I worked. When Leandro lived in Brasilia he lived in a republic with other friends, where friends of friends were always welcome. One person who always was staying in this republic when he came to represent his people in the government was Anuiá who lives in a indigenous village. Last week we were in this village, we stayed in the hollow of his family and had an amazing experience. We believe in this exchange, and we will use the CS as a tool to continue to further exchanges and experiences.

We love arts in general. Circus and music are more into ou day by day. We practice the tissue, the slack-line and are trying to learn juggling. We appreciate almost all kinds and genders of music, I play in a Samba group in Brazil and I have a special interest for new/different rythms, melodies and instruments.
