Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best part of traveling is meeting new people and getting to know locals; my goal for the future is to host other couch surfers when I'm not traveling, as I love meeting newcomers and showing them all the best parts of where I live.

Interests

I love nature and being outdoors; there is so much beauty in the world I want to see and only one lifetime. Hiking/backpacking are my main interests, and otherwise I'm pretty laid back and enjoy reading and writing. Being from Colorado, I'm also a fan of craft beer at any time of the day.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll listen to just about anything, but bluegrass will never fail me :)
As for movies and books, I like anything that makes me think about it long after I've finished it. I like the feeling of my thoughts and beliefs being challenged or thinking about concepts I'd never considered before.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first time I ever left North America was to spend 3 months in Nepal volunteering for a hospital in Chitwan in 2014. This experience was amazing for me because I learned how to be independent, that I could get along with anyone if I took the time to know them, and that the rest of the world was calling me to visit.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Unfortunately I don't have any outstanding culinary skills to offer, but I'm very appreciative and like to help out where I can- whether it be with cleaning, buying some groceries, helping in the garden. I grew up on a farm so I can be handy!
