I've done internships in Nuremberg, Germany and Bangkok, Thailand and got to travel around a little bit while overseas.
I grew up hiking on Vancouver Island and have done the West Coast Trail twice. In August I'll be graduating from the University of Victoria with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and I'm currently very interested in the marine engineering sector. I'm very involved in initiatives to increase diversity in engineering, as well as a student team that's designing a human powered submarine.
I love reading, running, camping, and taking care of my many indoor plants.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really love adventures and after a way-too-fast roadtrip up to Whitehorse two years ago, I've been thinking about getting back to the Rockies non-stop. I want to take advantage of the time after my graduation by doing some hiking in BC/AB/YT! I might also be scoping out towns/cities to look for somewhere I'd like to live and start a career, but mostly I just want to spend as much time among the Rockies as possible! I will be mostly camping on the trip, but would love to stay with people to get a taste of the towns/cities, meet wonderful folks and clean up my gear once in a while. Some of the trip will be with friends, some will be solo, so meeting and staying with people during the solo times would give me some company :)
