My husband and I own a 1000 Jersey cow dairy farm 20 minutes south of Timaru in Otaio, South Island, New Zealand. I was born and raised on a farm in Dunsandel, Canterbury and my husband is orginally from a Horicultural farm in the Horowhenua near Wellington.

We are parents of two adult children - 25 and 21 years old and I think that if any of them went travelling overseas that there would be people like ourselves who would host them and talk to them about their country.

Meals are not provided but you are most welcome to use our kitchen for cooking. We eat meat grown on our own farm, drink milk from our cows. Thank you and happy travelling of our beautiful country.

To get to our home you would need to either hitchhike or have your own vehicle as their is no public transport. If you are arriving into Timaru and it is on my shopping day there I am happy to pick you up.

As we are a farming family and busy sometimes on the farm it may be a couple of hours before we get back to you. Latest arrival time would be 9pm as we are up early in the morning on the farm.
